Course Description

The Multi Crew Cooperation (MCC) Course is designed to give single seat pilots the skills required to be truly effective as a crew member in the multi crew environment typical of Air Transport Operations. 

This course is ideal for:

  • Aspiring Airline candidates preparing for the issue of an ATPL
  • Recent graduates of a Multi Engine Command Instrument Rating
  • Candidates preparing for an initial type rating in Jet Air Transport aircraft
  • Airline candidates preparing for the interview process for airline operators
  • Pilots conducting a multi crew operation

Completing your MCC with us will prepare you for the airline interview process better than any other course available.

Pre-course study element

7 day program, including:

  • 1 online Zoom session
  • 1 on site Ground School theory day
  • 4 Fixed Training Device (FTD) sessions
  • 1 Fixed Training Device (FTD) session for assessment

Pilots will be trained using our onsite Mechtronix Ascent Airbus A320 simulator at Flight Options Sunshine Coast. Each FTD session is 4 hours, plus briefing and debriefing. Students will be paired with a ‘sim buddy’ to allow operations in both the Pilot Flying (PF) and Pilot Monitoring (PM) roles. A seat change at the 2-hour mark ensures both candidates get maximum benefit and exposure from the session.

Ground School theory includes:

  • Human Factors
  • Threat and Error Management (TEM) principles with a particular emphasis on multi crew operations
  • Quiz
  • Essay

Flight Training includes:

  • Normal Operations
  • Emergency/Abnormal operations
  • Assessment

To be eligible you must hold at least:

  • CASR Part 61 Flight Crew Licence 
  • Private Pilot Licence (PPL)
