Gas Turbine Engine (GTE)

Course Description

This 1-day course is for pilots who require a Gas Turbine Engine (GTE) design feature endorsement on their Flight Crew Licence. Conducted in accordance with the competency standards of CASR Part 61 MOS Schedule 2 DFE4 gas turbine engine, it includes:

  • Ground school and exam covering the underpinning knowledge that is not covered on an initial rating on an aircraft with gas turbine engines.
  • Flight lesson covering normal and abnormal operations of gas turbine engines on the ground and inflight.

If you are continuing training with a type or class rating, the flight lesson in the simulator is not required.

Please note: This course can be combined with the Pressurisation System Course to gain both endorsements over 2 days.
