Australia has transitioned from navigation based on ground-based navigation aids to Area Navigation using ICAO PBN framework with Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) as the key enabling technology. The objective of this course is to impact flight crew knowledge and training requirements for Baro-VNAV approaches as specified in CAO 20.9.1 Appendix 8 Section 6. This course includes:
- Ground school covering the underpinning knowledge
- Flight lesson in our King Air Full Flight Simulator, for practical Baro-VNAV operations
If you are continuing training with a type or class rating, the flight lesson in the simulator is not required.
To be eligible, you must have completed a PBN Course.
