We are pleased to announce that the Civil Aviation Authority of New Zealand (CAANZ) has renewed and expanded Flight Options’ approval to conduct training for air transport operations into and out of Queenstown (NZQN).
Until now this training consisted of a comprehensive briefing and simulator training, after which pilots must complete two physical familiarization flights into and out of NZQN before operating there.
For the first time our ground and simulator training course has been approved as an alternative means of compliance for the requirement that pilots must complete the two physical familiarization flights into and out of NZQN.
Our training course now satisfies all the requirements of NZ AIP 22.2.1, and pilots who complete our NZQN training course can proceed to operate into NZQN without further training.
