Steve Padgett Awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM)

As part of the Queens Birthday 2019 Honours List announcement, Steve Padgett has been awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for outstanding achievement and service.

Steve Padgett had his start in aviation learning to fly at age 16, winning a Royal Australia Airforce (RAAF) Flying Scholarship and has gone on to become an integral part of aviation in Australia. Mr Padgett has been instrumental in developing new aviation business and contributing to the fabric of aviation.

On receiving the Award, Steve Padgett remarked; “I am honoured to receive the Award and delighted to receive this on behalf of my family and the wonderful people I work with every day.”

Steve Padgett holds the current positions:

  • Co-Founder and Chairman: Alliance Aviation Services, formerly Alliance Airlines
  • Founder and Managing Director: Flight Options (Australia) Pty Ltd, Universal Training Systems and SJP
    Aviation Pty Ltd
  • Life Member: Regional Aviation Association of Australia (RAAA)
  • Council Member: Australian Air Force Cadets National Council
  • Chairman: Australian Aviation Hall of Fame (AAHOF)
